About Me

Hello there! I'm Angela, and it's a pleasure to meet you. Welcome to my personal website! As a recent graduate in computer science from Columbia University ♔, I'm excited to share with you my passions.

I have a wide range of interests within the tech field, with a particular fascination for machine learning. I find myself drawn to both the theoretical aspects of machine learning and its practical applications. For example, I am intrigued by how the nearest neighbor algorithm can enhance the efficiency of the K-nearest neighbor algorithm. Additionally, I am excited about exploring the potential of using frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow to develop generative adversarial networks (GANs) capable of generating images similar to the training data.

Alongside my interest in machine learning, I have a strong foundation in software engineering. Building robust and efficient software solutions is both a challenge and a rewarding experience for me. My team and I created our custom programming language "CHZAP" in Programming Language and Translator where we learn about the fundamentals of how a programming language is design and created from scratch. In the operating course, I experience Kernel hacking for the first time, and nose dive into the vast code base of the Linux Operating System. Amazed by the design choice of Linux, I proceed to read about the paper that started all of this, ”The UNIX Time-Sharing System” by Dennis M. Ritchie and Ken Thompson." Here is a paper our group wrote that talked about the topics in closer detail.

The allure of mechanical keyboards and Formal Verification also ignites my curiosity in the realm of hardware engineering. A new year resolution of mine is to learn Verilog and understand circuits better.

During my free time, you can often find me with my nose buried in a book. Reading is a cherished pastime of mine, as it opens up new worlds, ideas, and perspectives. Furthermore, I enjoy walking and hiking with my two beloved corgis. These moments allow me to connect with nature and appreciate the simple joys of life.

Please feel free to explore my website to learn more about me and the projects I've worked on it. I'm always eager to connect with fellow enthusiasts and collaborate on exciting ventures. Thank you for visiting, and I look forward to engaging with you further!

Here is a little eastern egg for those of you who read this far. Doggos
